PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April, 2008) -- Neighbor Newspapers, a group of weeklies in the Atlanta market, and their sister daily newspapers, the Marietta Daily Journal and the Cherokee Tribune, will deploy new web features from Creative Circle Advertising Solutions, Inc. (CCAS).
CCAS will redesign and relaunch the web sites for Neighbor Newspapers, adding the flexibility of mediasiteQ software to give editors the opportunity to change their web sites to fit the day's news content. CCAS' communityQ will be deployed to give the weekly group more interactivity with their users and to provide for reverse publishing of user-contributed content.
New citizen journalism features will be added to the daily newspapers' web sites as well, using tools from the communityQ solution.
And all classifieds placed online through all the papers will be placed via adQ: Intelligent classifieds, CCAS' best-of-breed classified entry solution. adQ is the only web entry system that actually helps users write effective classified ads.
"Newspapers need better software than they are getting from other vendors," says Bill Ostendorf, CEO of CCAS. "That's how we got into the software business (from training and consulting) in the first place. We couldn't believe the junk our clients were having to work with on their web sites! Our consulting firm - Creative Circle Media Consulting - has a long history of working with family owned publishers so we are thrilled to be helping another family owned publisher thrive on the Internet."
Creative Circle Advertising Solutions, Inc., builds best-of-breed software for media companies to create user-generated content and revenue. Products include adQ: Intelligent classifieds, and communityQ, the leading citizen journalism software in the United States. Clients include NBC, The Chicago Tribune, CNHI, North Jersey Media Group and Media General.
